Home Thermostat to control grow room temps?

If you're looking for a reliable, professional quality product, you want the Ranco ETC 111000(electronic temp controller), or if you want both heat and cool, the 211000. You can wire it to an extension cord for plug-in convenience. It has a remote thermister wire that you can run to the canopy...

    Fluoroscent tubes.

T5s are the most efficient floro on the market for growers. You'll be happy with them. Use all blue bulbs for veg and you'll be surprised how tight the internode spacing is.

Building A Grow Box Have Some Q's.

Mylar or Panda Film on the walls. Spend the extra money for an eye hortilux bulb upgrade. It will repay you in yield. For ventilation, go check out the valu-line fans at plantlightinghydroponics.com.

T5 Floros for mothers and clones ?

A well established mother can give 40 clones every month or two. I use 4 bulb 4' T5 for 2 mothers. I pull out 2 bulbs for most of the time and reinstall them a few weeks before I need clones. T5's work great for clones and once they root, using all blue T5s will keep the internodes very tight.

What size fan for 1000 watt cool tube

I've read stories about people blowing HID bulbs when a sudden blast of cold air comes pouring out of the A/C. I think that any fan rated at >400 cfm will do the job. You may want to put it on a dimmer to dial it in for heat/sound.

    Lux & light & Mothers

This becomes complicated when measuring multiple points of lighting. I don't think the meter will answer your question. Trial and Error, here, I believe.

Procyon LED. Newbie Help, aero garden

Oh, I don't know about that. The Procyons are far more powerful than the crappy LEDs that have earned them all a bad name. I'm interested to see how this goes. It probably would be a good idea to supplement the LED during flowering, I'd consider T5s or CFLs. Which Procyon did you get?

Why pay more for HPS Bulbs?

I can personally vouch for the expensive hortilux bulbs. I accidentally installed a spare cheap-ass hps bulb in one hood, and the hortilux in the one next to it. I'm sitting there going "what the fuck- why is 1/2 the canopy 3" taller than the other half?". That's when I noticed the different...

    led ufo grow box dimensions

I researched these lights quite a bit. I think I found that these are considered good for 4 sq ft, 2' x 2' for good veg growth. I would still use it during flower and add the T5s and maybe even a couple CFLs to supplement it. You'll probably have to make a judgement based on getting the right...

    PVC Hydroponics construction help

A grommet will do the job if it and the hole you drill are properly sized. Get the T shaped ones: It should tell you the drill size right on it. For the 3" net cups, you should use a 2 7/8" holesaw. Have you considered aero rather than NFT? It's not a whole lot more work. You could also...

    aeroponics questions

If you're cloning in the aeroflo2, I've had the best success with the water level touching the bottoms of the net pots. Once you see several roots coming out of each cup, you can drop the level down. I like to keep about 1/2" - 3/4" of water in the tube to act as a buffer if there is a...

    hydro questions

That would probably be fine if you grow from clones. Just put them into 12/12 very soon after rooting.
