Definitely leaf miners. You can see how the bugs grow and their lines get bigger in your leaves
These are easy to get rid of. Neem or spinosad should work
Grown up leaf miners look like orange flies so keep an eye out for those in the future
Hi, the good news is that the pics you provided don't show any signs of bugs. The marks in the pictures are just typical growth imperfections--no big deal. You are fine and your grow appears bug free
You pretty much summed it up, but in my opinion its better to harvest early and get what you can rather than wait and lose it all.
Budrot is systemic so if you see it already its only going to get worse. (I'd actually toss the plants that have the rot--sucks I know!)
Yes, you can harvest...
There are two types of bud rot--the stuff from budworms poop and the stuff cause by excessive moisture. If its the budworms you should be alright to go longer, you just have to take care of the worms before they poop over the rest of the plant. If its budrot caused by moisture then it is...
I've been impressed with Bodhi's Wifi cut so I'll make a vote for either Time Bandit and/or Walking Dream. Pillow Book also sounds promising . . .
What are your plans with this f2 project?
Most bug bites start out white then turn yellow as the plant heals
Some of your pics do look like bug bites. The pic with the damage on the side of the leaf looks like it might not be bugs but wind or just weird growth.
Many bugs are active at night which might help you spot the culprit
Good...
I clicked on this thread the other day and thought "yup, look like ticks".
Then yesterday I found one of these buggers on my plants. I smooshed it, and its body felt softer than a tick. I know ticks like to climb plants to make it easier to latch onto a host. Not sure if its a tick or...
Plants look fantastic!
Do you have budworms in your area? If so, spray with Spinosad. Its more effective than BT.
If not, keep doing what you're doing and looks like you are going to have a killer harvest!
Nice! That's great!
If I were you I would hold off and not spray until the good bugs get there so that there isn't any residual poison to harm the good bugs.
Keep us updated on how the Amblyseius Cucumeris work!
yeah just be careful with it if you want to do it. My pots are similar but I felt it wasn't worth the risk. I worry about the overspray or stuff falling to the ground
Check out those beneficial insects. I'm curious if its affordable
Pyrethrin based products are deadly to cats--if you have any of those around the area don't use those products. Otherwise should help.
And I believe that Spinosad is not available to Canadian customers due to your country's regulations. (I'd be curious to hear why not?)
Good luck with the...
True . . . . but it is deadly for cats. If you don't have cats then it will work fine as an insecticide
I don't use pyrethrin based products because of the risk to the cats.
Some dog flea/tick medicines also contain it.
He is telling you to research the life cycles of spider mites because there is a delay active bugs and in laying eggs
Basically, when it seems like all the mites got killed, the next round of eggs hatches. It appears all the mites are dead but the eggs keep hatching and the pests continue...
Think those are Clover Mites which are a type of Spider Mite. I've seen a few of the orange types on my plants, but never noticed an outbreak. If its spider mites you might need to introduce a couple more oils/insecticides into the mix. I've heard to rotate 3 different products to keep the mites...
