I design my dwc to drain from under the platform so changing the water is easier. Or I can hook up a drain hose to the pump and drain that way. The only problem I run into is the roots find there way into the PVC that connects one tub to the next.to fix that problem,party cups over PVC pipes...

Yes it is. Just a little advice, when growing a dwc with a scrog, make sure you have room to work all sides of the scrog and allow time to fill scrog.
