I know that another grower here was horrified, shocked and appalled when I stated that sometimes I ... gasp!... dry and test-smoke a few small flowers to get an idea of whether a plant is ready to harvest. I don't see how that is any different from a cook who taste-tests a spoon full of...
I know I will be accused of apostasy for saying this, but I am not 100 percent convinced that drying flowers in sunlight will ruin them. The reason being that I read up on how hashish has been made for centuries in countries like Lebanon and Morocco, and the growers in those places allow the...
Those flowers look ready to harvest to me.* I once tried harvesting based solely on what the seed breeders recommended in terms of the number of days at 12/12 and I did not like the results. That was with a strain called Dr. Who, growing indoors.

I’m posting these pictures of the Orange Burmese plants in case anyone is curious about what they grow like in SoCal during winter. Your mileage may vary. Also I tested some prematurely harvested flowers from a couple branches I broke by accident and they hit me like the proverbial sledgehammer...

I'm growing Orange Burmese by Equilibrium Seeds in...

I hope they are talking about taxing concentrates rather than flowers. Because everyone knows that the flowers that test higher in THC are not necessarily more...
If nothing else, I am hoping the wire will keep the plants from "lodging" or getting knocked over by wind or wildlife, which happened last year. I never found out for certain what was doing that.
