    [Review] Galaxy hydro 400w COB

I do have to give fair play to OP, he is more well versed with photoshop than you. But that can happen from time to time. He doesn't know about lighting. But the light ain't good. It's ok sort of if you don't want to spend much and can't be bothered to DIY. Actually it probably isn't. I don't...

    [Review] Galaxy hydro 400w COB

125 grams for 190 watt isn't anything to write home about. 0,65 gram per watt. It's not good. At least it's cheapish, sort of. But you can DIY a CLU048-1212 fixture that can easily do 1 gram per watt, for the same price. Probably more power too. Also what HPS did you use in the past? HPS is...

    LED Companies w/ LINKS

If you want a side light, and don't want to pay much. Either get a T5HO fixture, or get T8 LEDs. That cheap China light is just wasted money. You claim to not have money for a high quality light, but you do have money to waste. Also I don't believe for a second you're 50 years old, everything...

    EcoSunLite & 8-3590 run

It's the blurple man. It ate away part of the hole. White cobs have phosphor to keep the demons trapped but that's not the case with red and blue. I still see those demons flying around my room sometimes. Always tormenting me and cutting bigger holes in stuff.

    LED Grow Light Companies w/Links

Blondes really isn't the only one with top bin CXBs with meanwells. In fact, the newer Citizen COBs beat the 3590 both in efficiency and price. CLU048 1818 is as efficient while being a lot cheaper and the CLU056 1825 is more efficient while being around the 3590 in price/slightly more...

COB Manufacturers other than CREE or BRIDGELUX

Water cooling for 20W CLU046s... The pump to circulate the water will likely use more energy than the efficiency of the COBs increases. Water cooling is more attractive for really high power COBs. imo.

Those Phillips horticulture LEDs are efficient though a little pricy. The Gen2 model also has some more colour options than just red/blue.

Would my 3a cxb 3590's fit in a 2'x1.5' area

Don't expect more than 20g per single cup. 10 gram is also probable. I think it's a waste of seeds. You have a great light, would it really hurt to get a 2x2 growbox that's at least 4/5 foot high?

Noob question, can someone please explain the difference between COB and standard LED?

The CLU056 version is more efficient for only a 10 dollar higher price. The CLU048 is likely also more efficient than the CXB model and cheaper. The newer Citizen COBs are more efficient and cheaper than the CXBs from Cree.

Would my 3a cxb 3590's fit in a 2'x1.5' area

That's an extremely low tent. You could try but those plants will be in your light within a week. A bucket for the plant is already going to bo close to a foot, then the light will probably take half a foot so there's not even 10 inches for the plant to grow...

First couple of weeks he could run the Photon dimmed, as seedlings don't need full intensity light

Noob question, can someone please explain the difference between COB and standard LED?

"advaned platinum" uses cheap Chinese leds and sells them for a huge profit. The Photon is dimmeable, which is what the veg switch on the Advanced mostly does. (On the platinum it shuts down a bunch of the leds, the Photon you can dim) The 3500K from the Photon will do both veg and flower 100%...
