I've never actually used Miracle Gro, so don't know for sure - but it sounds like those round balls you've identified must be the slow release nutrients. If you can remove them then I'm sure it will help. I'm not sure if the vermiculite will have nutrients bound to it too - but I feel like it...
I can't bring myself to try them again. My next few grows will only be 4 plants vegged for longer and manifolded (and the four plants for the next grow are all up and vegging already) - I simply can't afford another total failure like this when I've only got 4.
I'd happily send you the other 4...
I've been growing with this exact setup for nearly five years now (not sure how many plants - about 80 I guess), and this is the first time I've seen a plant do this. I did have one in that time which didn't really produce trichomes (a Terperella from True Canna genetics - another half price...
The room the tent is in is totally dark itself (no windows, door opens to a hallway with no windows). No light can get in the room, and the tent is light tight. There is no way that plant is getting more than 12 hours of light every 24. I did check my timers after your comment, and they're...
Welcome to growing, and welcome to rollitup.
What advise do you require? Happy to help if I can.
I'd get that nice looking large CFL about 4 inches above them and do away with the other bulb if it was me.
Can a plant reveg under 12/12? Surely it's impossible. I will consider switching them to 11 on 13 off, see what that does.
It isn't a problem with the environment though, because the other six are all behaving normally. It is 100% bad genetics, which is why I started this thread, to...
She looks pretty healthy. I don't think you've got much to worry about to be honest. I don't think the smaller pot will make the soil any hotter - it will mean the plant ends up a little smaller, and maybe uses up the available nutrients quicker.
The plant in the picture looks very leafy - I...
Miracle grow is a pretty 'hot' soil, and would explain the cupping/clawing of the leaves. I believe it has some kind of slow release quality to its nutrients, and that flushing doesn't do a lot to clear any excess. This does support your position of not giving her extra nutrients. I would...
Sannies is the best for stealth seed deliveries in my experience (in fact nobody else I order from even bothers with stealth). Sannie packs his seeds in amongst beads and labels the order as jewellery.
Agreed, it does. Really shouldn't be though, having been on 12/12 for 4.5 weeks (and all the other 6 plants in the tent are happily flowering and producing resin). I think it's the lack of trichomes which make it look as if it's revegging. Never seen one look like this before. Seriously...
It does eh! I've always thought about trying Dr Grinspoon. She can't be any more high maintenance than this one.
It is a bit of a shame, but I should have known better than to buy reduced seeds. Lesson learned!
And this is a 'Twins' from 'Cannarado Genetics' (Sour Dubble x Birthday Cake ). Again, 6 weeks into veg - I accidently broke off one side when manifolding this one, but she's pulled through ok.
This is a 'Spumoni' (Alien Labs Dosidos x Sunset Sherbert) from 'The Plug Seedbank' - vegged for 6 weeks so far, and has been manifolded. The strain came 2nd in the Indica category at the 2018 cannabis cup. Very smelly and lovely tasting when flowered (but does have some hermie traits).
A few more pictures of my 'Twins'. She's 32 days into 12/12. I was a little suspicious of hermie traits early in flower, and am very pleased to say I was wrong on that. She's all girl! (unlike a Spumoni I also have in the tent).
I've included a couple of pictures of another 'Twins' I have...
Some new pics, a week on. Still no visible trichomes on the SFSD. Very temperamental, doesn't like too much light or nitrogen - yet fan leaves go yellow if you don't give her nitrogen. She also smells weird - a bit like peanute butter, but not in a good way.
