Because of budget problems I'm gonna have to use the cheap chips and upgrade later. My whole setup is gonna be a poor man's grow wife has given me a budget of $100 for everything. But I'm sure as time goes on a plant grows she will let me have a lil bigger budget
I'm a complete newbie planning on doing a wardrobe grow. The cab measures 1.5ft deep 3ft wide and 5ft high. I want to put a 10gallon dwc from a 10gallon tote in the bottom. Wife says only plant at a time so the question is lights. Which way should I go? I figure I need about 175 watts But not...
Or up u can use your cxb3590 as a heat source for a vaporizer just build a pipe off the top and you can smoke some meds while you watch your meds grow...:)
So how hard would it be to get a 3590 to stay around 70f ? Electronics run best around that temp and our plants like that temp....just thinking why not treat your light the same way as the plant give it the best environment possible and it would be good to you right?
What kind of yield were you getting out of the junk ones ?? I can build a l00 watt light using generic chips for $17 if o could get .5 g/w out of it I'd be happy
This is the driver I want to use

Think this would be enough heatsink?
I've got enough basic knowledge to know heat kills electronics how about a cxb 3590 mounted to this ???

I'm thinking Vero is the way to go I'm building a dwc wardrobe cab and need about 200 watts based on the 50w/1sq ft rule... I'm not sure if I want to go HID or led both would be about the same start up price
