I would recommend HSUSA as well. The artic coolers are nice but if one fan goes out you have the potential to fry your cob. The amount of aluminum to build bars is going to end up costing you, not as much as a large heatsink. But instead of cutting/welding a bunch of aluminum you can make it...
FYI jerry from kingbright sells the ideal holders and lenses too. He only charges 1$ a piece..the shipping i s expensive, however if you add them on to your cob order you can get them cheap. I just received my cxb3590s 3000k and 4000k ideal holders and lenses. Flat rate of 50$ for shipping and...
Depends on how efficiently you use your drivers...plus, over long distances DC travels much less efficiently vs AC. After much consideration I will also be mounting my drivers to my lights.
I will most likely use them in the first round. I'll be tappin and drilling holes for them so I can remove them. Unfortunately I don't have expensive meters or DiY experience with crees prior to this so I won't have much to compare to for a good 6 months. But my par/sqft is closer to 16 so I'm...
Hey guys,
Setting up my DiY setup with 900w of cxb3590. PAR for my area is 15/sqft. I ordered 80degree lenses but now I'm having second thoughts. Has anyone used the lenses and done a comparison? I like the fact that the lenses will seal the cobs from the environment, however, I worry about...
I'm looking at thermal grease. I know the pk-3 is what a lot of you are using. Anyone else had success with anything else? Also rough estimate on how much grease per cob? I need to know how much to order. After @SupraSPL post comparing thermal grease and bare I'm thinking that selecting a more...
Not really. You would have to mount them on a heat sink. Way more trouble than its worth. You might as well buy single LEDs / cobs and mount them to heatsinks. Check out the DiY led forms, really good stuff there
Bluelab and Hanna have never done me wrong. Be careful as you increase you LPM of air given as your nutes will become more 'available' for lack of a better term. As LPM increases overall % of ppm throuought the grow needs to be decreased. CCh20 has awesome references for things like this. What...
Seems shady. I doubt the lumen output is correct and like @Rahz mentioned above, you would still need reflectors. These might be good for veg or mothers but I serisouly doubt they will give you half way decent bloom. If you want cheap you would do better with the 100w Chinese cobs on eBay. All...
If the RH of the room outside the tent is to your liking then just more ventilation. Air needs to be replaced even when lights are off because plants expel co2 at night. If RH in the room outside the tent is high the dehumidifier is in order
I second this.
Simple And effective.
And you can build your own for around half the price.
Us plastic has 7 gal black buckets.
The CCh20 website has all the blueprints.
IMO top off res is a must.
Also check out the CC guys on YouTube. Great, informative videos on there. With a super charged...
