I dig mine the same size as Fresno. 3 ft x 3 ft x 2 ft deep, then place my raised bed box on top and fill. We use straight coastal compost in ours, no other additives. I cheat though and use the Kubota.

All good here. Couple storms ago I had one fall over, but since then I've wire tied all my cages to the raised beds. Haven't had a problem since.

Thanks partlycloudy. I have several layers of defense myself but non of them as good as my second story deck (about 20 ft away from the greenhouse) with shade cloth and a lazy boy recliner, that I sleep in.

Your doing a pretty nice job yourself. That MOB is looking great. We didn't get this greenhouse built until this spring because we moved. I still need to finish the strapping so I can put the film on. Because we were moving the plants didn't get in the ground till 6-21. Yeah the chickens...
