It's good as long as it's contained within the soil. Keeping it from spreading outside the pot should still remain a priority in my opinion. What's good for plants isn't always good for us and vice versa.

Run those misters as much as you can, 24/7 if possible. Looks like your roots are drying out and pruning back. That may not be the problem, but seeing as there are no fibers coming off, I'd say that's a good place to start.
