I have an air cool hood myself, I take my glass off when I run the 10k bulb due to the glass is not "low E", which blocks most of the UV.

Can it be used for soil?

You use your MH at the last 7-14 days of flower to boost trich production. MH has UV vs HPS doesn't have any UV. The UV helps with the production of trichs, I use a 10k bulb (it's has a lot of UV) on my finishing weeks and I do notice a difference in potency and frostiness.

Water is very magical.... try adding that

I use a solistek 1000w 6k bulb for veg. Then at 3 weeks left of flower I switch out my hps bulb to a 10k bloom finisher bulb. (UV off the charts)

I'm just thinking that some of my strains may like it colder then normal...?

My 1000w light is about 3 1/2 - 4 feet from the top of my canopies. My girls are going into week 5 of flower tomorrow, and the curling didn't happen until about 2 weeks into flower. I vegged my girls for about 50 days with absolutely no problems. All my problems always happen when in flower.

The canopy temp is 77F Also I have 2 fans on a low setting blowing across the tops of the girls, they are swaying gently in the wind.

Still doesn't answer my question.... Instead of talking your shit maybe answer the question politely since this website is all about advice and seeking knowledge from "veteran" experienced growers. (Which from I see it's a category you don't fall into) I know the plant is trying cool down...

Most of my plants have the heat stress look with the curling of the leaves. I experimented a little on one plant with a light blowing of air from a fan. The leaves were not curling but once I turn up the air circulation on that one plant the leaves started to curl a little bit. So I'm wondering...

Yes I did top the purple og, also i won't know until harvest if I would grow the purple again. The purple does grow really nice and uniform, for veg and flower I like the way it grows, but I will let you know at the end to see how she turns out.
