Yeah, he has used it before, with the same bulb and everything...it probably has a few hundred hours of usage on the bulb. not too sure where he got the ballast in the first place though.

That's a type of spice right? I'm kind of skeptical about that stuff...but I've smoked i before, but it's pretty intense in very large amounts...trust me...you do not wanna' smoke more than a few grams to yourself!!

I tried researching parts numbers on all of the components, but I found nothing that would specify wattage...It's not a store bought ballast either, it's the kind where you buy all the parts separate...I'm pretty clueless right now as to what the right move would be. And I don't have a grow on...

How many cfm's is the fan rated for?

I'm kind of confused about this, my friend gave me an hps system, and the bulb reads 250w, but the ignitor reads 150w...No other components are labeled... Should this work? Because it does, it'll fire up and get pretty bright, but is it safe? And what wattage do you think the ballast would be...

Yeah, you really don't need too much nutes in Super Soil, the shit's pretty damn hot!

My 500w setup is only 2.5' wide x 2.5' deep x 5' tall, and I'm able to control my temps with only 150 cfm's of exhaust...Ambient temperature is usually between 73-80 F. So I think you can pull it off! And I think I answered you on your other thread on nutes and soil

There's many good soil mixes to go with, I personally use a mix of 50% Super Soil, 35% Perlite, and 15% Sphagnum Peat Moss...Just the basics! As for nutrients...It's really hard to recommend them, but the line I've had the best experience with is Advanced Nutrients Sensi 2-part...But many other...

How about something like Bass-Line, or Decible...It kinda looks like sound waves!

The HPS will be a lot hotter than those 3 cfl's...So you'll probably need to up your ventilation if you wanna' make the switch!
