It depends on the light your using. When I start plants under 4 foot shop bulbs, the leaves never really grow big. But when I put them under a HID lamp they explode.

Don't add any artificial moisture, this will most likely only cause mold. If you went too far, the bud will be dry, but still be good, live and learn.
