What Job Would You Hate To Have/ Never Work For?

I worked on a crew that did crime scene cleaning when I was in my early 20's. Wouldn't recommend it.

Finding More Effective Ways For Atheists And Believers To Communicate

That about sums it up for me. The only thing I'd add is the willingness that (most) religious people have to modify or modernize their beliefs to suit their lifestyle or when facts contradict them. Getting harder to debunk evolution..just work it in somewhere and give God credit. Nobody'll...

    Soil runoff

lol 'Pelletized' lime comes in different grades fine-coarse. I'm talking about using fine pelletized lime, not the powdered shit. edit: from the same article "Make sure you either water or get a good few rain falls over the next MONTH to help the lime breakdown and mix with the soil."...

    Soil runoff

I understand what you're saying, but most soil's ph is fairly stable to begin with, it's usually only after the peat starts breaking down that it drops. If that's the case then the lime isn't taking the soil to an acceptable range as much as it is just keeping it stable. It could've taken a...

    Soil runoff

There's no way coarse grade dolomitic lime is gonna be effective in less than 2 weeks if it's mixed prior to planting. Probably, more like a month or 2. Greater surface area = faster acting.

    Soil runoff

    Rant: Dumb Facebook Posts

Shit, sounds like we've got the same "friends". If it's not something like you described, it's Christian for Israel (never will understand that one) or fucking Herman Cain. I guess all of my Cain supporter friends think I've forgotten that they were the same people posting racsist jokes when...

You're probably right. My guess would be it's where the plant material was damaged and healed over. Like a scar or something.

    Anyone Like Horror Movies

Definately love the classics. I wasn't around to see any in the theaters, but I grew up watching 'em on tv. I lived for those old Saturday morning horror host things. The Tingler was my favorite when I was a kid. The scene where Vincent Price does LSD cracks me up...

    Anyone Like Horror Movies

Oh hell yeah, Children of the Corn kinda freaked me out pretty bad when I was a kid. There's a good chance I've seen some of your friends work. Probably 75% of my friends on fb are special effects or mask/makeup artists. I love that kind of stuff.

I like mythbuster but as an engineer their math is way off some times

I gave up on Mythbusters after they did the appliance in the tub thing. Kinda weird to call that a myth anyway. They were saying it was "busted" then figured out they were testing volts instead of amps. Ever seen that one? I do like when they do the ballistic gel stuff though.
