Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

I think they look pretty healthy though. The indica is already starting to stink. I haven't smoked in years, that smell is blissfully haunting.

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

Wow, the ph actually is remaining stable...not rising fast like it was before. I had a funky smell in my last rez, def some bacteria action going on. I wonder if that was what was rising up the ph so quick. After I emptied it and sterilized, I made sure the buckets were light proof, and that...

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

Well I found the place in the pipes in the basement where I can get the water straight from the well, before going through the softener. So I'll def use that on my #2 res i'll be filling in the next few days. But, since I just changed the water on the #1 res this morning, using the softened...

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

Should I just buy purified water from the store? What if I used my hose water from outside, that isn't softened by the water softener, right?

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

Yeah I just ordered tds meter 20 minutes, so in two days I'll know how the water quality is. It's well water, so it should be pretty alright. We have a water softener, so the water shouldn't be too hard. I'll try managing the ph in the proper ranges until the meter comes, see where that is...

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

Some are saying here not to go below 5.7, whereas i've read and heard before that going down to 5.2 and letting it swing up 6.4 (to cycle through all the range of nutrients) was a good idea. I'm just trying to pinpoint an estimate at least for where to take the ph to. It rises quickly, I don't...

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

I adjusted my 2nd res to 5.8, I'll see how long it takes to rise to 6.2 My guess is only an hour or two. The 1st res that i just changed the water and nutes I have not adjusted the ph. I'll see where the ph perfect takes that to on it's on before adjusting it.

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

Well...I've been using well water, and the ph is above 8. I haven't adjusted the ph at all, and the ph perfect hasn't taken it below 8. So the ph,, according to my meter, has been above 8 this whole time. But...another guy on here has said he is growing successful with ph perfect and his ph...

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

Yeah, I understand. The ph perfect line is confusing, there is a lot of different ideas and opinions about it. I've been back and forth with others who say never touch the ph, it destabilizes the mix, and others who insist you must still adjust ph. Obviously though, it's not quite working the...

Is this the Beginning of Iron Deficiency?

Plant is about 17 days. DWC, feeding advanced n. ph perfect. (seedling strength currently). 300w led, 18 inches above plant. Temps around 75 on plant, 73 in dwc. Using hydroguard. Ph is high, but I'm taking advice from others and info i've read online to not mess with the ph when using ph...

    RDWC. 8 x 55 Litre system.

So you only need to change the water in the main tank, which pumps water through all the individual reservoirs? You don't need to manually change and add water to each reservoir like you do in a dwc? I'd imagine that would help considerably with bacteria build up in the reservoirs. Do the...

Quick question about rapid rooters after plant is established

My plants are looking good, day 11 and 13 for the two plants, respectively. I'm doing 5 gallon dwc's. The rapid rooter on one of the plants is just about totally dried out...My question is, since the plant is established and already showing roots down through the hydroton and into the...

Issues With Ph and Maintaining Ph In DWC (Using AN ph perfect) HELP!

okay, I did some more research and understand more now about ph and the way ph perfect works. it allows the nutes to be utilized in a broader ph spectrum, so maintaining a certain ph is not what it's about. so tomorrow i'm going to empty the reservoir that I added nutes and ph down to today...

Issues With Ph and Maintaining Ph In DWC (Using AN ph perfect) HELP!

How can it work so well though if the ph is reading 8+? You're saying your ph is, like it was 4 years ago when you checked, around 8 ph, and you are having successful grows? It'd be great not messing with the ph, i'm just really wondering how it could work so well if it's reading in the 8's...

Issues With Ph and Maintaining Ph In DWC (Using AN ph perfect) HELP!

You use ph perfect advanced nutrients? I brought it down to 5.3 and it's only gone up a few points. Might just need to restabilize it the first few days. My tap is good quality well water from our property, good healthy drinking water, so there aren't any crazy additives or too much...

Issues With Ph and Maintaining Ph In DWC (Using AN ph perfect) HELP!

I think I might empty the buckets, clean them a bit, along with the air stone tubes, and refill with fresh water. I'll try only refilling to right below the net pots, so the hydroton isn't in the water. I have a feeling it is the hydroton raising the ph so high.
