That amount of fans should work better than that. Are they running on a 7-12 volt transformer. Need plenty of fan speed. How are the fans configured, 2 intake 2 exhaust or what? Could be the location of your fans. They might not be circulating air ALL thru your box. remove the filters also

Using de-humidifier water on mine. Just make sure the water basin is clean. Got 5+ gallons in a few days time. I'm sure the water is drinkable, if you really needed to do that. ;-)
