IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

hi guys, I am a bit late, sorry about that. I have been looking for 3 days now, and it seems the best for me will be RW 75. I was hesitating between Isled, A51, hans, BML, and a 150W hps. By asking the prices, I ended up with: 3,75$/W for the hans panel 5,65$/W for ISled panel 7,43$/W for BML...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

Hi vladimiroslav, thanks for the answer. When I mean too hot I speak about the junction temps of the led not the ambient temp. And when I meant no switch I was referring to "the jumper" that I found a bit unprofessional "DIYed" whereas it cost already 250$ (pretty cheap for led panel I know)...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

hi everyone, I have been growing for only 2 years now, using soil and ebb/flo under a 250/400W hps. I realized my set up is too big for my consumption and I want to grow all the year for pleasure. So I decided I will give led a try. I already have been doing some DIY led test with success but I...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to know, I am already mounting DIY led panels to make some test, but this will just be for experimental process and use "bad 1W led". I was wondering what panel can unable me to get rid of my 250W HPS in a 3x2 area I thought of two VanQled 120W with a customized...

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

Hi, yes I would probably go for only white and a bit of hyper red if using this 3000K led. Because a spectrum composed of Yuji 3000 and normal WW would give two peak of blue: 405 and 450, and two peak of red 600 and 630nm then you just add a bit of 660 and all is here... Maybe a 5:2 ratio would...

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

Thanks you Bumping Spheda for the great link, I am higly thinking of taking some of there 3000K. I think it has everything needed. I would probably go for a 8 x 3000K from Yuji : 1 pink: 1 hyper red. Or maybe a 2x 3000K from yuji : 1 normal WW: 1 red 660 the problem is the efficiency, 23%...

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

hi! thanks for answering ganga 2. I found on ebay that satisled sell some pink led, not expensive at all, the quantity can be as small as 5 led of 1W. I am going with a SOG under 160W of led, 8 panels of 20W each: a heatsink of 22x15x3,5cm which can dissipate between 20-26W aproximately with...

    ASTIR led 175 W

Yeah, I said exactly this, but on other hand it's possible to find 3W led made of two 1W chips, so consuming 2W and outputting exactly the same amount of light than two 1W led. but I guess I will have to read all his thread and ask him.

    making a new pannel

Well, I think I will start with simply placing my led in rows and colons then we will see for something else.

    making a new pannel

Yeah 5rows of 4 but as lot of my spectrums are 5 mixed led, I see it as 4 rows of 5. Don't think It makes lot of difference. I know this shape, my Maths teacher talk about it once. But I don't see How will I do it on my PCB.

    making a new pannel

Yeah maybe a few blue on a dimmer you are right, just in case it stretch too much. @Petflora yeah this percentage is the key I think then we need to play inside to see the best spectrum but most of them will work, ther is no general best spectrum... each plant is different from others. So I...

    making a new pannel

What you are saying is interesting, love the way you said we can choose led like pokemon ^^ When I am looking a the spectrum I want, I generally research 10% blue/ 30%green yellow/ 55%red / 5% far red for flowering. Then I had the option of going with Pink and WW and eventually some red... or...

    making a new pannel

So acording to you by the way, it's better to take the lowest bin??? at least for WW because it's more red?! your logic would be very strange, the contrary than all the growers I know. or I did not understood again your statement.
