I used 2 - 315's to replace the 1000 hps....& all lights are on rails.... we will see in a month or so..... I will be posting from time to time.....

a 4x4 will be covered by a Phillips 315 watt CDM 4K will work for both veg & bloom ! & runs pretty cool ! $400 bucks Ballast, wiring, Bulb..... I have 3, 1 in veg & 2 replaced my 1000 hps due to too much heat ! & lower cost running.... I don't have any issues now & don't even vent the hoods.....

After looking at the bulb the loss must come from the protective housing for explosions purposes.....two layers & none on the end where the outer bulb is thicker.. just my guess.....

I have 1 Horizontal of the Phillips 315 4K Mogul base on a Rail for my 18/6 Veg room & works great ! & 2 Horizontal & rail that replaced my 1000 hps for heat & wattage usage.. I run all 3 at 220 vt about 10 inches above plants. for a month so far love them so far so good... they are Phillips...
