Right on man, just be careful with the blasting bro. Keep it outdoors so we don't have to read anymore news articles. Bless

    DWC Setup 2000w

10-4, bulkheads are not cheap, but $8 - $10 for that size is comparable to most (I get mine from Bulk Reef Supply...they have everything plumbing-wise that you could need). Look about 2/3 down this page and you'll see my setup. The washing machine drain hoses, which are available at all...

I don't quite understand the shower drain thing. Why not just use bulkheads?

RDWC Build.... So far so good

Nice! Cabo? Mazatlan? Vallarta? Actually looks like La Paz upon closer inspection. Ahh, the old Mexi schwag....it looks a lot better than the shit I used to get back in the 90s, that's for sure. Sensi from Mexi wasn't even a possibility back in those days...lol.

    DWC Setup 2000w

I keep my mothers in separate DWC (not RDWC) 27 gallon totes (the black and yellow ones from Lowes). I do this in case the chemistry gets fouled or disease hits one tote...then, at least, I have another tote with the same genetics as a backup. I use 10 and 14 gallon totes in my RDWC systems...

    DWC Setup 2000w

I personally use 1/2" pvc from my pump to all totes, with a 3 inch gravity return. The key is to keep the tubing from the pump as similar to the output as possible. Sure, there are certain needs for reducers, but water pressure is a constant from pressure source to outlet. I'd rather have too...

    DWC Setup 2000w

A chiller is, indeed, a large expense up front, but it is a sage investment in my opinion. I've been using the same 1/10 HP for nearly 8 years now and it's paid itself off in spades (knock on wood). Without CO2, you want your ambient room temp to be around 76F, ideally. Add CO2 to the mix and...

    SCROG questions for a 8' x 4' tent

I put loose zipties on all of my tent poles, then connected carabiners to them. I then tightly connected 5" nylon trellis netting to the carabiners. This way I can slide up and down early on and during/after harvest for access and cleanup. I have a lower set for trunk and stem support, and an...

What's the best 1000w hps bulb money can buy

Hortilux Super HPS here. I like having the extra blue in my flower as well. Interesting to see that EYE is making a line of T5s. I do all if my vegging with ATI T5s in an ATI fixture. They're almost too strong. I learned from reefkeeping that it's safer for your corals to go from T5 to MH...

    DWC Setup 2000w

^^^What he said. RDWC (vs individual DWCs) will make every aspect of your grow easier. Check the green link below.

    Rdwc setup

Ha ha....its output makes the power bill nominal. Actually cheaper to run than, say, a coco setup of the same size since the nutrients are recirculating and not drain to waste. This is considered a smaller to mid-sized setup in my neck of the woods. ; ) 18k & 24k setups are quite common.

    Rdwc setup

I do have a chiller, but it rarely runs....only on the hottest of summer days and, even then, usually only during the last couple hours of light since it takes a long time for the room to warm the water after it's been sitting in the cool, dark for 12 hours. My setups are in basements which are...

    Rdwc setup

p.s. - RDWC vs DWC will save you a lot of trouble. With RDWC, you know your nutrient levels, ph, water temp, etc, etc. within seconds. With multiple DWC buckets or totes, you're always having to refill, adjust, play catch up, etc. If one were to ask me what the best part of my systems are, it...

Check this out, but with 4 vs. 8 plants. You could get a great canopy out of 4, but I'd go for 6 plants in 10 gallon totes like this...(as well as those in my sinature) Not looking for cred...just sharing after years of trying to improve my tactics...I will always continue learning with the...

How to have grow rooms wired to handle more electricity

2000+ watts on a 15 amp breaker is overload, for certain. Depending you your type of breakers, they should have been tripping and if your wiring is the old fabric coated Romex type, then I would be VERY nervous about it.. To run 5000+ watts, do what everyone is saying and hire the right...

Scooby's 6000w Water Cooled Costa Rican Grow Room

^^^ Very untrue. His grows and builds are/were real, as were his boats and fishing tournies. I corresponded with him outside of RIU, but quite some time ago, and he knew what he was talking about. Probably just playing it cool....that's what I'd be doing. He's in a tighter community and word...
