you can veg with the hps they will grow just fine . they will have slightly more stretch then the mh . a lot of people i know use hps for veg . if its that concerning to you stop using the mh its not worth it . nobody knows if it will damage your ballast or shut off and come on . or...

do you know what a good grower will pull using a .4 600 watt hps ? 30 to 60 and adding 4 t5 is kinda a joke . keep it cool

the t5 have there place .in flower . i use the 10000 k last 5 or so days excellent results. the t5 will flower the plants . i would not turn on the 4 bulbs if it raised the temps that much its not worth it

i had this in a brand new hps hrtilux off amazon . makes me wonder if the bulb was actually new .

are you dimming this mh ? this will cause them to make all kinds of funky noises . dimming a mh will shorten its live majorly

your brand new . why dwc ? why not master a soil grow first ? dwc water temps have to be cool lot of opinions mine is suggested 62 f to 65 f steady. or will you throw a ice bottle in every 6 or 12 hours but if it gets to cold your done to . lot of people that run dwc systems I know...

just water and feed . support them when needed prune when needed . they are done when its done . its that simple . can mark all that down in your book and a 8 week plant might take 12 weeks then what ? just have fun throw those note books away .

what is your water ph ? mine is 8 right out of the tap so I have to ph the water not matter what no advantage if I were to use ph perfect or not . and most liquid nutrients are neutral ph any ways .
