Soil Food Web Gardening with Compost Teas

why not just topdress? its the same nutrient payload. thats what I don't get. no need to rush the microbes into doing something in ~24 hrs that they would do over the course of a few weeks in the soil. unless your plant is extremely sick/in need, in which case an ACT can help. like I said, I...

Soil Food Web Gardening with Compost Teas

if it's so damn great then why isn't it being used by every organic vegetable farmer across the world? where is it's presence in true horticulture? these are the questions I ask myself. also, which thread will I troll next? hmmmmmm....

and the "veganics" threads are also stickied. notice that Matt Rize is a mod? hmmmm...... wonder why that is... not everything that is sticky is good information, or even truth. many in the organics section are based in myth and not in horticulture. in fact, i disregard most of the...

if you have the time, i'd plant the cover crop and allow it to establish before planting your cannabis clones/seedlings. this will facilitate the rapid establishment of fungi/bacteria in the soil...if you're lucky you will already have living mycorrhizae in the rhizosphere when you plant your...

    Worm casting VS LWC???

it's hard to read folks advocating big bloom as a replacement for castings and not get a little upset. wish I wouldve had folks tell me things like this when I was starting out. tough love. i know i'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar...but i'm not necessarily trying to catch flies...

    Worm casting VS LWC???

False. Please stop telling folks to buy fox farm products...big bloom is a joke. big bloom is to fresh worm castings as funyuns are to organic red onions. not even comparable. OP, if you really want the goods, you need to find a local worm farmer or someone who can get you fresh castings...

Vermicomposters Unite! Official Worm Farmers Thread

worm hunting is damn easy if you have a backyard..just throw a tarp down, weigh it down with something (I usually just mix soil and leave it on the tarp), and wait (I end up waiting ~30 days for the soil to mature, but I'm sure you could harvest worms in a week or so). you want the soil...
