I understand what you getting at but I would just say its probally due to evaporation and the fact that perlite does has somewhat of a moisture content and wick as it dries you are probally right. Are you using chunky perlite?

Been thinking but I've had both success with Riot rooters and or diy bubbler so I don't see point in changing about to go old simple gardening ways , soil , dome and time.

You would have already seen signs when it was introduced to that environment it won't come later unless the get closer but in this case im sure your stretch period is over.

That's not true , its either chlorine or chloramine both just keep micro-orginism from growing out of control chloramine is less productive but doesn't evaporate, chlorine is more productive but evaporates meaning has to be replenished , like a pool. You fed to much now its time to flush.

I am an organic soil guy , and don't flush , but I would flush that medium out and let the plant consume what it needs from the leaves for the next 1-2 weeks monitoring its hairs and trichomes for final harvest.

Your just impatient and starting with the.. 12/12 method is a tough one all strains can react differently. Either way your plant will grow roots before it grows plant and continue to do so through most of its life , enjoy , read and then ... read some more.
