First time grower with a couple of questions...

I have a similar setup, 6 gallon DWC bucket with a 300 watt Mars. I have three plants, and one of them is super picky. Once the pH goes over 5.8 it gets the brown spots on lower leaves which progresses and they get crispy. Might want to invest in a pH pen to get a accurate number on the pH vs...

It's three plants in a single 6 gallon DWC bucket. Since it was bag seed, I didn't want to veg a long time only to end up with males nor did I really have the room for three to veg big. They were vegged for three weeks since seed pop. Throwing them in flower to find out sex and take some clones...

I went ahead and started 12/12 as of last night. 'Fiona', the seedling that took off initially and showed some great promise is up to her old tricks again. Brown spots on the leaves, kind of crispy/brittle. With it's initial great growth and look I had planned to clone from it, but it seems to...

Can this be a nitrogen deficiency?

Well as of this morning they have bushed out more and are now covering the entire top. I'm strongly debating going ahead and throwing them into flower. Thoughts/advice?

Does this look like anything I should be concerned about ?

My guess is it's a pH issue. I received a seedling, that was a month old, and no bigger than yours because of some cheap soil, but most likely, due to being fed non correct pH water at around 7.4 out of the tap. Not to hijack your thread or gain attention, but HERE is a link to my thread for...

I didn't see it posted, but what pH is the water you are using?

I'm far from an expert, on my first grow, but I would have to agree with $bkbbudz$ that that plant looks entirely too small to be 3-4 weeks old.

Weekly update time. They have bulked up some since last week, still moving along. Roots are nice and long. They all have root systems that are long enough to reach the bottom of the 6 gallon bucket. Hopefully they will be ready to start flower by the end of next week.

Top leaves in the seedling turning yellow

I'm a newbie myself and not in soil, but my guess would be pH as already suggested. Those lights are probably too far up as well. When I started my seedlings I had one bulb per plant and about 2 inches above the plant. CFLs also give off the most light from the side I believe so I had mine...

A little mid week update. So the first two sets of leaves, ones I had already trimmed, and the ones in the picture from above didn't make it. It was just too little too late and they had dried up and got brittle. The roots had gotten limp and sort of clumped together. They didn't seem to like...

No worries, I didn't mean for it to come off in a smartass way if it did. It's my first grow so I know there will be mistakes, it's all about learning. I'm taking notes as I go along to help improve on my next grow. After a have a couple of successful grows with the ole bag seed I'll invest in...

It's in a DWC system, so I can't really over water :P pH is currently about 5.7 (lowered it to give them some time to soak in some phosphorus as the chart says it's locked out after 5.8. Looks like calcium is locked out above 5.8 as well. It was at about 6 stable for nearly a week. Giving them...

Alright guys, I think it's time to call in a little help. I had originally taken the dark green leaves as a sign of nitrogen toxicity. Changed the res and used 1/8th nutes. Woke up today to find the attached pictures. I'm now wondering if I mistook my diagnoses and am actually suffering from a...

Weekly update. Res 69* F, .74 EC after topping off with water (water has a base .13 EC), 6.1 pH. Due to the nitrogen issue mentioned below, res was changed today. 5.5 gallons of fresh water, .514 EC, 5.8pH. Floranova is only being ran at 1/8th strength until they tell me the need more. As you...

It's my first grow, so I'm willing to learn from my mistakes. I don't expect to have a spectacular or flawless grow my first go around, just trying to get some first hand knowledge under my belt. I appreciate your experienced insight though.

It got a few drops of Floranova Bloom for the first week, then 1/4 strength Floranova Bloom the second week. They are all now in the main DWC running on 1/4 strength DWC. I will up that to 1/2 strength soon, but I didn't want it to hurt the new seedlings by too much so soon. If I see no burning...

Check post #3, picture #1. It has sprung back to life. It got water and just a few drops of nutes since all the bottom leaves were dead (which I removed after the first picture on post #2).
