From my experience, there is no such thing as too much air. The more the better. Without pics, its hard to diagnose the rest, but it sounds kind of like a calcium deficiency. But We cant know for sure without some visual aids.

I personally feed the co2 into the back of my fans and they do a good job of circulating it.

A side note to this for clones and mothers. When using a mother and cutting clones, the clones carry with them the age of the mother. This Is why with clones many people have great harvests off of clones switched to flowering after 3-4 weeks from clipping. I flower as soon as the clones grow...
