One of the main functions of special forces is as a force multiplier training indigenous fighters. That's literally what Green Berets do. The "coordinated Nato group" was there to train Ukrainians.
You don't honestly believe the US blindly trusts all our allies do you?.....look how easily allies can be compromised. I would be more worried if we weren't keeping a close eye on them...."Keep your friends close and your enemies closer"....
