    My dad was combat engineer in the army with Gen Patton. Invasions in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. He built bridges for the tanks. Germans finally got him outside of Palermo and sent him home with a purple heart.

    my father passed on 9-10 and i was at the airport trying to get a flight to Seattle to help my sister with funeral arrangements...my flight was cancelled......all flights were cancelled. 9-11 was a hell of a day for me. :roll:
