I like the ideas that are getting talked about here. I only grow 2 plants at a time just enough for personal use mostly a hobby for me. I enjoy messing with them and dont mind slow watering. Gives me time to examine all the branches and just enjoy my babies. Labor of love.

Just a tip when youre circlimg the outside of the pot remember that you need to keep the top even with the lower branches that are growing up. Also need room to water otherwise youre dumping water on top of your plant. Looking good so far. Keep it up.

I would not defoliate this early. No reason to stress the plant leaving fan leaves on doesnt hurt anything. Defoliation will slow growth temporarily not a huge deal if you do. your new growth chures will come up to the light on their own if fan leaves get in the way you can tuck them down or to...
