    First organic grow

The Gaia Green has micro nutrients in it, but I added Gaia Epsom salts in a watering (once in mid veg, once in mid flower Only). That seems to keep the mag/fe from becoming an issue, and as far as cal goes my water has a ton of it in it. Never had an issue yet. Take into account this is...

    First organic grow

I use just regular bagged lava rock. Any size/kind will work from what I’ve seen. What I have is roughly 3/8”-3/4” in size. I can’t stand perlite as it floats up and deteriorated over time. To each their own, but with lava rock or pumice you won’t need to replace over time.

    First organic grow

No the first was coco and Gaia Green, but I had no clue what I was doing haha. Second was coco and liquid nutes. A lot better results. I built this soil (with Gaia) from scratch about 45 days before transplanting from the cell pots to 6.3 gal.

    First organic grow

Thanks man! Yeah it’s a solid Canadian product from everything I keep hearing, that’s why I went with it. Getting antsy to get it finished, dried and weighed lol. Won’t rush it none the less.

    First organic grow

Day 59 flower (8.5 weeks), starting to fade nicely (hard to see in the pics). Checked the trichomes but a ways out yet. I’d guess another 7-10 days at least.

    First organic grow

Started week 6 yesterday. Took the trellis and frame down as the humidity was around 60%. Held any stems up by gardening wire and bamboo stakes into the soil. Smells amazing like strawberries and blueberries. Lowest leaves getting minimal light dying off which is par for the course. Don’t have...

    First organic grow

It’s called TNB down. It claims to be all natural and works great. I know soil is supposed to buffer ph but I think 8.5-9 like mine is way too high to rely on the soil alone.

    First organic grow

Each pot got 5 table spoons of 2-8-4 and 3 cups of worm castings. Just water from here on out and hopefully they fade nicely at the end of flower. I’ve also heard adding brown sugar to the last two weeks worth of waterings, if anyone knows much on this I’m all ears?

    First organic grow

Start of week 5 flower today. Still look to be doing great and buds are fattening up nicely by the day. Final top dress tomorrow just going to use the 2-8-4 bloom only.

    First organic grow

Can’t hurt man give it a go! So far so good on my end. They’re just starting to get their smell. Smells like the advertised strawberries. Now I’m playing the how much am I going to yield game... trying to be patient. Rather get a solid boutique grow then totally worry about yield... but ya know lol.

    First organic grow

Shit I might just get on that here soon! Won’t help this grow, I’ll keep it in the heated garage so the wife doesn’t lose her shit lol.

    First organic grow

I’ve heard getting a worm bin going is the best thing possible for organics. I’ve looked into the kits and contemplated making my own and just buying the worms. That’ll be the next thing I do for sure. When I get around to it. I’m sure the fresh worm castings are light yrs better then store bought.

    First organic grow

I figured you did! It’s the only way I think I’ll grow now as I can keep reusing the soil. Save a fortune on nutes as well. These two bags of amendments only cost $40 total.

    First organic grow

Yeah I added the dry amendments in with the mix so the bacteria could break them down to a form the plants could uptake. I kept a small amount of mix for when the seeds germinated, in the cell pots WITHOUT any amendments. Have to keep the soil moist not wet, and turn once a week. It grew a layer...

    First organic grow

Thanks man! Only my third grow and the first was an absolute joke haha. Second I did a lot better but only used 3gal plastic pots. This ones gone great so far.

    First organic grow

I’ve literally done; -1/3 Sea Soil compost/worm castings (a lot more compost then castings), -1/3 lava rock (size about 1/3”-1”) for aeration -1/3 sphagnum peat. - Gaia Green dry amendments (80% 4-4-4/ 20% 2-8-4) per gallon Mixed them up and added dechlorinated water with molasses, liquid...

    First organic grow

Also first time I’ve used a trellis myself. Seems to be great for low stress training LST the taller branches. Or you can super crop under the string HST.

    First organic grow

Hey Rogerlodge, it’s called Vapour Pressure Deficit. It’s essentially a chart used to make sure your temperature and humidity are dialled in. It shows propagation, veg-early flower, late flower etc. I’ll send a chart.

    First organic grow

Thanks Getogrow! Yeah just initially amended the soil in April while I let it “cook”. Only other time was beginning of flower, and will again after week 4. Honestly don’t have signs of needing it at all, but I don’t want to take any chances and it’s pretty hard to burn the plants with Gaia Green...

    First organic grow

Day 21 of flower today, girls are looking fantastic! Can’t say enough good things about going organic. Soil is on point. Framed a wall up and added reflective 5/8” insulation on every wall to make a sealed grow room. Cut a 6” hole for fresh air intake and have the in-line fan and filter dumping...
