no don't use it. It doesn't block light and light will stop root growth. Its fine for like a temp transplant home. If you have to use it wrap it to block uv rays. Transplant again when roots show at bottom, soda bottle too small and you dont want to get rootbound.

you cannot sex from those pics, and probably +\- 8 weeks ;p Use a 30x handheld microscope and watch ur trichromes. When u see brown take them down!
