this would be good but if your set on cfl & dont have the $ for the new LED tech then i would get fluoro tubes like he says and use them in addition to cfls placed around the sides for optimal coverage. Good luck:eyesmoke:

i just read the first 20 pages. gunna take a break and hit the remaining 8 pages later....in conclusion.....one of the greatest LED threads ive seen & mad props to Irish I will definitely be using LED on my next grows. which lights i have yet to determine however i will keep in mind the sales...

Nice job with the ufo & cfls!!! I wannarecommend Blue mountain organics liquid fert lineup. Many riu members swear by it, myself being one. Good for indoor & outdoor, they got an ebay store. Best of all 100% organic! Good luck on your grow, keep the updates coming.

If you plan on doing a entire grow with led & u have a couple grand to spend i dont see why you wouldnt invest, search LED in riu many ppl have discussed this. I personally think hps is outdated & led is the new tech. But its expensive & most hps users will claim led sux bcuz they cant afford a...

I agree. As far as wiring i would think someone @ lowes could set u up with some types of adaptor allowing u to plug into a reg socket, depends though what it comes with

didnt know lowes sold hps yard lights. Would be sick to tig a few of these up in a room, dunno how well theyd work but id give it a try. Not a bad price

That would work but more cfl coverage the better. The u shaped cfls are pop among growers & much better than the spirals... Remember most light comes from the sides & not the tips!

Im defintely investing in the new LED 1000 watt/ hps replacement & will supplement the sides with CFL.. The pros significantly outweigh the cons for me. Look for my grow starting in late jan in thegrow journal section. If you got g'z LEDs will please. If you got hundos stick with them 80's era...
