    Deficiency using Jacks 3-2-1

make sure youre temps are in the mid 80s, pump the mag/sulfate up to 2g per gallon. I went with jacks 3-2.5-2 jack/cal/mag. Had the same problem when I moved over to LEDs. Raising temps and upping the mag fixed it.. Pacific light concepts website said to bump to mag up to 90ish...

Looking for cheaper COB LED alternatives...

yep cxm-22s. Im running a little over 2100 watts of cxms and I love em so far. SO do the plants. also cobkits is right, any of the alibaba stuff I checked had INSANE shipping costs. Not worth it unless you are buying a TON of stuff.

    Buds quality LEDs VS HPS

dude the cmh lights are no joke. The growers choice 3kr bulb really flowers quite well. I get better GPW with 2 315s in a 4x4 than I do off my 1khps.

    Buds quality LEDs VS HPS

I can get the bulb thing kinda. Not sure why anyone would want a bulb operating under 80% at the most though. Even small guys. It just seems like a waste. The heat being easier to manage is based on my personal experience. I have 4 tents going currently. I'm using 1khps, 630cmh and 720 COB...

    Thinking about side lighting

If it doesn't cost a lot to set up I think its a good idea. This last run I had my 4x8 tents about 2 feet apart and I left the doors open when lights on so that the lights would shine down the sides of the plants. The lower buds were NICE. There was almost no fluffy junk to toss. Im not...

    LED lighting and deficiencies

yes! from what I gather, you need to add the sulfates first. I do jacks, then mag, then calnit. I was told that the sulfates are like a glove to nitrates. If you add it last it will swollow up your nitrates and make them unusable. Im sure that is NOT whats happening scientifically but...

    Buds quality LEDs VS HPS

wouldnt the LED end up being cheaper in the long run though since you dont have to change out bulbs every 6 months? Also we have the savings in air conditioning too. This of course assumes you dont buy the newest best chip every time it drops lol

    LED lighting and deficiencies

Sorry I didn't read the entire thread, but I had issues when i first set up my LEDs. I switched my nutes to running jacks-calnit-magsulf. I run 3g jacks, 2.5gcalnit, and 2g mag sulf. Worked like a charm. Everything is super happy. I bumped my temps up some too to keep the leaf...

    DE vs Vero29

why do these threads always turn into a shit show? Like, can you all just talk about stuff like adults? From what we know, DE HPS pushes about 1.7 umol/j correct? And good cobs are hitting like 1.9. So we know for sure at some point cobs put out more light than the DE at a lower wattage...

    Tasty LED Closeout and etc.

thanks for the tip. Im likely going to run 8 chips per hood at 1400ma active cooled. I already run 720w hoods with cxm-22s so I want them to kinda match wattage. Are they super inefficient or anything at that range? From what I can tell they are still quite good. Im no led guru though

Beyond Dreams North Genetics pheno hunt

Looking great! I can't wait to see how they turn out. I'm really excited about north genetics stuff. I've not seen much of it on any of the forums. I have some Smurfzilla running right now, two weeks into flower.

plant ph and mag Issues after switching to cobs

no totally true. I live north, its cold as hell right now. With all HPS I needed to run MAJOR fans to keep the room temp down. With the LEDs I just exhaust them right back into the room to keep the temps where they need to be. The heat produced by my leds seems to keep the room in the low to...

plant ph and mag Issues after switching to cobs

final update. It seems the problem is solved. Getting my PH under control by lowering the times the air went on, and bumping up the mag to the doses I posted earlier has solved it. Plants leaves are all nice and green again. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to help me out. Much...

plant ph and mag Issues after switching to cobs

If this continues to be a thing, I might have to mix CMH in the room or something and see if that helps.

plant ph and mag Issues after switching to cobs

I think it certainly is a major issue. i vegged for 5 weeks. Definately too long for these buckets. Its a shame since I can get these systems for absurdly cheap, but I might have to just stick with tables for the rest of my flowering rooms as I really dont want to be running so many plants. I...

plant ph and mag Issues after switching to cobs

thanks guys for the replies. Purplebuz thank you, you're way over my head there. I get what youre saying though. Lower my P, add ammonium nitrate instead of diammonium phosphate. So I did foliar some mag the other day, went a little too heavy i think thats what that glossy stuff on the leafs...

plant ph and mag Issues after switching to cobs

Alrighty, thanks for the replies guys! Now, I JUST switched my nutrient profile to what I posted a couple days ago. Before then I was running my usual jacks 3g cal-nit 2g and my microbes. Thats it. so currently im looking at 155-51-171-75-125 N-P-K-mg-ca Like I said though...
