...as for the roots it is easier to grow in a small cube than a party cup a because it is easier to trim the roots coming out of a square shape rather a cylindrical shape and it includes trimming around 1" off all around and changing your potting compost.

Yeah it might have to do with the light schedule since websites promote a 8 week seed to harvest auto , a 18/6 to 24/0 might influence a bit the time of the harvest since you lost a total 336h of light during 2 months because of your reason it might be about this let me know when you harvest...
