Seedling Soil: Side by Side Comparison

My thoughts exactly Head, I am going organic and it fits the bill very nicely thus far. Yeah "MIX 3" was the last to sprout, which tells me it took a little time for the tap root to gain the trust of the advanced microbes. Once the bond was made, the two I used this mix on blew past the others...

Parabolic Dome Reflector OR Standard Sunbeam Reflector

NLXS- You couldn't be more right, and to be honest I did not think of that. WHITE = BRIGHT! I cannot see painting the walls of my grow tent so I think I am going to give the parabolic a try. If nothing else we can see a side by side comparison.

Seedling Soil: Side by Side Comparison

No, to the best of my knowledge. Here are the labels from the front and back of the package for your viewing pleasure. This small package is enough for 150-200 plants. I broke down the measurements which come out to 2.33 grams per gallon, giving each plant about a 1/4 cup early and when I...

Parabolic Dome Reflector OR Standard Sunbeam Reflector

That would be perfect for a 5'x5' area huh? I just looked'em up and they do seem superior in reflection. Is that what you use to grow those elephant buds?

    My 1st grow, indoor 400w

Now I see, I have had great success with super cropping in the past. Here is a pic of a Salmon Creek Kush that was super cropped, some of the best herb I've smoked. If you get bored vote in the link below, I have a decision to make...

Parabolic Dome Reflector OR Standard Sunbeam Reflector

I am thinking about going back to my Parabolic Horizontal Dome Reflector in my flowering room and want to get some farming public opinion before doing so. I have attached two photos for your voting pleasure. One is from an old set up with the dome and one from my current set up. Unless my eyes...

    150w or 250w

I use a 400W MH for veg and it does generate a little heat, but not enough to worry about ventilation. I keep a closet door open most of the time the lights are on though. Check out temps below after lights on for 7 hours, keeping in mind that the thermometer is mounted only inches from the...

Thanks! So in essence you cut off the circulation until the lower growth caught up?

    Fox Farms Light Warrior?

Thanks Alex. Yeah the 80/20 is the way to go for me, especially when treated with mycorrhizae prior to planting the germinated seeds. I treated the soil two days prior to planting the seeds. This way the subculture can develop for a couple of days before planting. The one on the right below of...

Seedling Soil: Side by Side Comparison

I ended up having to transplant the two mix 3 plants which are noticeably larger than the mix1 & 2 plants. I could probably go ahead and transplant them all but ran out of Ocean Forest. The results are so astounding that I cannot see growing w/o introducing a subculture in the earliest of stages...

    My 1st grow, indoor 400w

Taurus- Day 15 of flower huh, that is awesome man! I currently have two plants in day 15 of flower also, using Botanicare's Pro Veg/Pro Bloom and plenty of other products also. Do you crop in yours a certain way in order to get the lower growth near the same height as the upper growth? I usually...

    My 1st grow, indoor 400w

Yeah I have used up to 2 Tbsp per gallon with no ill effect. But, I have discovered a new product called "Hi-Brix" which is molasses for plants. It's super condensed and the bottle recommends only using it once a month. If you have created a microbe sub culture in your root ball then more...

    Fox Farms Light Warrior?

Happy Frog was one of the soil's I used in the Side by Side Comparison. BY FAR the most undeveloped root ball at time of transplant. They were so bad I didn't bother transplanting 2 of 3 seedlings that were sprouted in HF.

    Fox Farms Light Warrior?

Yes, FFOF could burn your seedlings. I have been using 80% light warrior with 20% FFOF w/o any issues. See link below for the side by side seedling soil comparison I am running thats starting to turn into a journal. Subculture introduction at the seedling stage seems to be the best bet IMO. The...

Thats what I am afraid of Wanna, if it aint broke don't fix it right? PPM in reference to my tap water? I think that means parts per measure and I do not know what this is for the tap water. As previously stated the PH is 6.5-6.8

Do I need to add CalMag to tap water?

Thanks Sparka! Should I be adding it to all of my H2o mixes, i.e. Fertilizer Mix, Supplemental Nutrient Mix, regular H2O? I haven't been using CalMag much since going back to tap water and everything has been growing great, but I want to do everything I can to ensure maximum fruits from labor...

    My 1st grow, indoor 400w

Dude those look great! I am on my 3rd grow and have been doing some super cropping combined with LST to promote the lower growth and have had great success with it so far. I Super cropped the one on the left below, but not the one on the right. Same strain, enough said, but I will say more. I...
