    *top feed rockwool questions*

I'm not sure I understand, is the 3/4 pex your main line ? You just need to plug the end of it or put a valve on it to control the pressure. If you are asking how to run lines off the pex I'd use T fittings, 3/4 to 1/4, or 3/4 to 3/8 and then a valve to each one to control the flow rate. That...

    *top feed rockwool questions*

As long as you mount the tubing so it doesn't move you don't have to stake it to the rockwool and don't know why you'd want to. You should have them on a table like an ebb and flow so the water runs into the corner and into a resevoir or some kind of channel like pvc spouting. Don't understand...

Anyone adjust for other than 24/hr days to flower?

the 12/12 simulates the shortening hours of sunlight of the season and signals to the plant fall is approaching and that is why it goes into flower mode. That is why there is a Veg cycle with more hours of lighting and 12/12 for flower. If you want more specifics read the grow faq it should...

    Is 400 watts overkill?

If that's what you have, use it, you can't really have too much light, as long as you can keep the temps under control go with it. You can make a bigger cabinet if you have to, probably cheaper to redesign your cabinet than buying a smaller light. I try to use what I have, so that is my thinking...

1.Where should the tube go on the rockwool? Doesn't matter as long as the rockwool soaks it up. 2. How long do i run the drip system for?. i have 8 16'long 3/4 tubing with drippers. 23c in the room on average. Probably 2 - 3 times a day for about 15 minutes, the rockwool needs to dry out...

    Light Cracks!!

At the hardware store they sell foam tape, it works well for sealing cracks, it comes in different widths with adhesive on the back. Works well for doors and such, I think that is what it is made for is doors and windows.

    First grow from seeds help

I think this is another question people worry about too much. My philosophy is to compare it to your houseplants, are you worried about how many times a week you water them ? Probably not. I usually water once a week and don't have any problems. If you want to be sure buy one of those $5 meters...

    ABOUT TO POP ABOVE GROUND.."ak47"!

In veg it really doesn't matter if you use 18/6 or 24/0 you can argue a bunch of different points about either one but for the most part you won't see any difference and it won't effect the plant any. You have to switch to 12/12 to flower after you VEG, to get the plant to reach it's potential...

    ABOUT TO POP ABOVE GROUND.."ak47"!

18/6 is the lighting schedule for VEG, 18/6 to 24/0 is VEG ligthing schedule. So just leave your plants on 18/6 and let them grow until you are ready to flower.

    How Early Can I Flower?

You can flower from seed but I don't recommend it, but some people will. The plant won't actually flower until it is mature enough to so it adds stress to the plant by trying to force it to flower before it is mature enough, IMO. It will force the plant to flower at the earliest point in time...

    Difference in price of seeds?

Most of the time you will get better genetics, you can look for seedbanks in the posts to get an idea of which ones to use, but generally Serious Seeds are extremely good for the price and highly recommended, T.H. Seeds also comes to mind. There are a few others but I can't think of them off the...

    Welthink Ballasts WARNING

Kinda of contradictory, they sell good stuff, they replaced the 48 ballasts we got from them after they failed right off the bat...................... I have never seen anyone or know of any reason someone would modify the power output of a ballast. If anyone has more information on why...

    First grow from seeds help

Just plant them in soil, water them so the soil is moist, wait 3 - 10 days and your seeds will be sprouted. IMO everything else is just un-needed steps that cause extra stress to the plant and add the risk of fungal infections. How many other plants in the world get the paper towel method...

    1st time grower with questions

If they are really thin and fall over and die it is usually a sign of not enough light. You can also pick up a cheap shop light with cool white bulbs, the 4 foot ones and have good results. I've seen better results with the 4 foot lights over CFL's but you can grow either way. That's what I...

    Just wondering bout Veg

The standard is to let them grow to at least 4 - 6 nodes before switching to flower. This helps ensure that the plants are mature enough to switch. Of course some people use 12/12 from the start but I think it just adds stress to your plant trying to make it do something it isn't ready for yet...

    grow room safety

If you are handy with electric you can pick up a GFI (Ground Fault Interupter) outlet like the one pictured in the center and all the outlets after that will be protected and it will trip out before the main breaker for that circuit will. That is added protection and will trip and save you if...

It's true but is a waste of time, what are you going to do ? Graft the roots of the hops plant to your plant, you'll just have a different set of roots so what have you accomplished ?
