I know that I will probably get slaughtered on this but have you considered using LED's? I use them and have had pretty good success, expensive though.

you also need to consider the height of the lights and your growing medium. When I built my first cabinet it was 48 in. and I was using it from seed to harvest. The problem was that after I added my reservoir and the space that my light needed I only had 24 in. for my plant.

I would make sure that your intake fan is near the bottom and the exhuast fan is near the top.

Do you have any kind of exhaust in your room or is it sealed. Actually a better question would be, is it in a room or some kind of enclosure. You will probably be fine either way but would be better if you could exhaust (recirculate) the air if it's in an enclosure.

and D. Let a female plant grow a couple weeks after harvest to see if it will turn hermi automatically. Then collect the pollen pods and apply to female of next grow.

actually if you want to take the water pump out completely when the roots hit the water you would be just fine. The water pump is only meant to give the seedlings a constant supply of water. When the roots start growing into the reservoir if you leave the water pump on it can actually hurt your...

Great thread. The only thing it doesn't mention is how much water to use. I would think that would be pretty important since the amount of water will determine the weakness or strength of the solution.

Mr. J Thanks for the help. I am trying to come up with a method of creating feminized seeds. I don't have the room to make clones and was looking for an alternative to buying feminized seeds. That does answer my second question. Thank you!
