Could you buy a HPS bulb from Home Depot and put it in a simple socket without any trouble? I know that most people use a ballast and it controls the flow of electricity, but I was wondering if you could get away with this cheaper set up with a smaller bulb, like a 250W?

The buds were already torn off. Not sure what tearing the rest of them off will accomplish. I have trimmed off all of the leaves or small buds that were partially torn off since they were already starting to wilt. Any other opinions on what will happen? P.S. I am a chick.

I was wondering if it is a good idea to save all clippings from when you begin flowering on, to make butter, hash, etc.? At what point would you think the trimmings are worthwhile?
