    Why get stoned?

Okay, I'll bite, what is the difference?

    Why get stoned?

Actually I have talked to her about it, but it hasn't really helped me understand why she does it. My intention in this thread was not to complain about my girlfriend.

    Why get stoned?

I initially didn't post anything about my girlfriend on this thread, it just came up since she is the stoner I'm around the most. There isn't an issue as I can accept without understanding, but I would like to understand this better as much for myself as for my girlfriend.

    Why get stoned?

Ok Okay, that lost me. I have always thought of high vs stoned as two different degrees of the same feeling, high being less than stoned. I'm not sure why you can think when stoned, but not when high. As far as I can discern, I've not experienced difficulties with cognitive processes, and I...

    Why get stoned?

LOL, I definitely have not been stoned then, unless you count everything seeming to move in slow motion.

    Why get stoned?

Okay, my girlfriend didn't smoke to the point of unconsciousness at the party. My problem there was that all she wanted to do was smoke dabs. We were in a 2500 sq foot suite with a hot tub in the middle of the suite, but she stayed in the bathroom and did dabs. Typically when we smoke, we...

    Why get stoned?

Okay, so maybe I'm just getting buzzed then and am not really getting high. Hard to really know without some degree of context.

    Why get stoned?

LOL. Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I do not know the strain, but I can ask her later.

    Why get stoned?

I'm seeking to understand so that I do not hold her back. She's amazing and can have anyone she wants, and I don't want this to be a barrier in our relationship.

    Why get stoned?

I'm a lightweight; she is definitely not. You do not need to explain why you like weed, but at least for me understanding is the first step in growing as a person, so it would help me if you could explain it. Am I the only person that makes a distinction between getting high and getting stoned?

    Why get stoned?

Blue Dream was the first weed I actually liked and I believe it is a sativa dominant hybrid. Prior to smoking it I didn't like weed at all, as all it ever did was make me feel numb. I smoked Blue Dream on 4/20 to help with a headache (at my girlfriends advice) and liked it so much I smoked it...

    Why get stoned?

I was comparing weed to alcohol as an analogy of the strength (alcohol proof vs THC level in weed). I'm not sure what you mean by weed being a controllable feeling though. The only control I've found is the same I have with alcohol, by cutting myself off once I've had enough. Once I've gone...

    Why get stoned?

I could say that about my vaporizer although a bowl gets me. Doesn't it also have two to three times the THC level? Isn't that comparable (somewhat) to drinking wine vs whiskey? I'm sorry for asking so many annoying questions, but like I said dabs seem pretty intimidating.

    Why get stoned?

Oh, and yes I absolutely function better after smoking certain strains. So you're saying I don't need to worry about not having the tolerance for it? I had read on High Times that it could be an issue if you aren't used to it.

    Why get stoned?

I'm pretty sure you can over consume just about anything. She doesn't pass out after a few dab hits, she passes out after several dabs (depending on the strength). I personally get unfocused after hitting a bong a few times because I underestimated just how much bigger a hit you get off a bong...

    Why get stoned?

My girlfriend has smoked dabs to the point that she has passed out. That is pretty incapacitated. I've seen quite a few people smoke to the point that they basically cannot function on any higher level. The first time I smoked from a bong, I went to far and I couldn't focus to read (also...

    The forbidden TRUTH

As a rule, I stay out of religious discussions because they always tend to be pointless as neither side of discussion has any intention of being swayed to the others viewpoint. In this case, I'm choosing to make an exception. I am a former Christian and former deacon of a church. I graduated...

    Why get stoned?

Okay, I understand why people want to get high, it is pleasant. But just like I do not understand why people drink to get drunk, I can't get my head around why anyone would want to get stoned. My girlfriend and I went to a party, and all she wanted to do was sit in the back and do dabs. It...

Can someone who doesn't smoke last in a relationship with a chronic smoker

We can stay together and be honest with each other. My main concern was that weed was such a big part of her life that she wouldn't want to be with someone who couldn't share that with her. I felt much better about it after talking with her about it; like you said communication is key. I...

Can someone who doesn't smoke last in a relationship with a chronic smoker

Is Blue Dream high in CBDs? We're on a trip and she got that strain, and I tried it to get rid of a headache (being numb all over being better than a migraine). Well it got rid of my headache almost immediately, but it was also an eye opener. I mean that literally, it was like drinking 10...
