Well, I bought a ballast from a guy off craigslist, it was a 1000w ballast and a 1000w hps bulb.. it worked. well today I went to my local hydroponic store, and bought a 1000w mh bulb.. and I was wondering if this bulb would work with my ballast? I don't want to risk it and it might blow up...

I was wondering why people don't start off in their main pot (big one), but rather start in a smaller pot or a cup when growing from seedling. Is there any difference if you start small?
