If I move my lights up another 6+ inches, wont that kill my light penetration? (6x26 watt CFL)

Here's a pic of my setup: I have a fan blowing in, and a fan exhausting the hot air out thru a dr pepper box on top of the reflector (ghetto, I know...... but my temps in my box are ~79 degrees, so I guess its working :)) here's a pic of her from the top:

She has been under 12/12 for 1 night. as her branches grow up, can I lightly tie her taller ones until the lower ones catch up? I have been 'propping' her lower ones up to the height on the higher ones or propping them into holes in the canopy in order to promote evenness

No, I ended up not topping her.... Her bottom branches have really shot up..... In fact one of the bottom-most branches looks like it will end up being one of the tallest. Btw, that's what should be happening, right? Her branches should start growing up to flower?

How can I tell what will be a top?

My grow space is only 14"w x 14"d x 28" h...... How much longer should I veg? And should I ever untie her for a couple of days to let her kinda stretch? Also, I am considering flushing her.... I'm scared that I will kill her though. :S
