I use Mars 1600 x 4 for 4 years (old technology now) and never had a single problem. I try not to knock them about, clean them about once a month and it just works. Uses half power during veg. You still never get that power/depth of penitration a 1000hps gives but scrog and keep full even canopy...

Just to add, depending on local climate... I actually have to add a 600hps to my room during winter or my heating is nearly constantly on. Fuck using 2000w for a heater when one 600w HPS almost keeps it off. I just think I'm paying for having that heater on I'd rather use the energy for light...

Pick that lower yellow stuff off, it will never recover and you will be paranoid. Keep an eye on other lower leaves moving forward. Seriously look at air pots. Although I use NFT I have seen air pots results. Cheap and they work, can wet/dry cycle more

I'd be more concerned with the smell! Although I would lift the pots out for say an hour and wedge something underneath for say an hour and then dunk again for an hour as no airstones. Then repeat until power on. Sometimes we do get power outs for a few hours while asleep and we don't even know...

First post I realise! I tend to do 7 days and 21 days, after that just selective. Definitely strip all the lower tiny branches off too as its like trimming fresh air in 10 weeks time.
