Why would it not be 'active' and I guess my question would be what do you mean by active? The thc/cbn are being produced by the plant while it's being grown, and while it's 'ripening' the trichomes go through their different stages - which is where all the active chemical change is happening...

It should be fine. Cut with a sharp little cutter, the plant will heal itself overnight and keep on trychin' :D

I'm looking for a minimum of 3oz from one plant, up to a max of 10 so far. Legal grow so nothing hypothetical here. However, given the times and the economy I'll keep my true location to myself, heheheh.

The potency is determined by the genetics. How you dry your little trichomes after the plant is harvested concerns only storage and smokeability. It can't increase chemical production or activity.

You don't want to dessicate the weed though, the idea is to dry the excess moisture out of the bud and then spread the remaining moisture out evenly thoughout the vegetable material right? If you dessicate it you are taking all the moisture out pronto and then you'd have really dry uncured weed...
