nah the yellowing of the leaves is natural man, it's telling you that it is almost done, definatley go for another week, two at the most and you won't be sorry, try some molasses if you wish
depends on how well you take care of them with feeding, watering, and light, what you put into it pays off in the end, just don't overdue it or your yield will suffer
