although it would help the plant if you tossed in a couple of the 6500k daylight bulbs, a full spectrum could only benefit what vegetative growth you get, ultimately meaning bigger stems for bigger buds. i could be wrong tho.

Wow... my plants are that big at like 6 weeks... but mine kinda had some gnarly cold shock (Temp dropped to like 50 one night). If that one fluorescent is all you used I'm impressed, they look pretty big and bushy for 4 weeks on one tube fluoro.

Regardless, keeping a male plant around in flowering is potential ruining of your females (unless all you wanted was seeds). Unless you have a big enough grow space to keep them seperated, or two different rooms, I wouldn't suggest keeping a dude around.:weed:

Sounds like a good idea, especially for those of us who have to walk to a greenhouse to check on their plants every 5 hours. :D

I'm in this same situation right now where my plants are in veg, but I'm only a few weeks away from flowering and I'm not sure what to do to keep the genetics. Is it easier to clone or easier to pollinate one of my females?

Or if you can just paint the space it's growing at a flat white, that works pretty wonderfully for those on a budget. :D

I'd say take as much is neccesary to keep the plant alive, because obviously if they were planted on purpose, no one has bothered to take care of them. Probably just seeds from someone picking apart their weed.

Optimally they should be somewhere dark and warm where they can absorb water. I left mine in a shot glass behind my computer... ...although I've also germinated some in a paper towel in a ziplock bag. I will say that in the shot glass 5 out of 6 germinated, while in the baggie only 2 did...

Yeah... The problem is, non of the shit round' here is actually grown here, so after the initial 4-5 pounds that circulates the city, it's gone, and everyone moves on to the next crop. Lots of dry times whenever no one grows... x.x
