Your fine with the 400w HPS. The blue spectrum of MH/T5/CFL is better for plant growth, but those lights don't penetrate the lower parts of the plants like a HPS will. Just make sure you don't burn the plants or have the light too high and have them stretch too much.

I plan on making a 6x6x(ceiling) cage out of either PVC or 2x2s and using 6mm thick panda film for the cover. Then use a 6'' 400+ CFM inline fan to cool it all. I wouldn't mind a SJ, but I could use the money better elsewhere to benefit my grow =]

Looking good so far! I regret not getting some LR2 seeds because I could be smoking that herb right now instead of waiting for everything else!

maybe at a fabric store... they might know it as a "blackout" fabric. it is also called panda film. please keep us posted with how your DIY tent turns out because i will be doing the same thing in the next week or two. i thought about using pvc, but i may end up using 2x2s... i'm not sure yet...

It must be a sign of unstable genetics or something because I planted two bag seeds and 4 known strains. Both bag seeds came from the same bag and both made a weird gloved shaped leaf towards the end of the seedling stage. The known strains all look 100% normal.

A few months back I wasn't really considering growing, but I threw some bag seeds into a cup of water when I was baked..then I forgot about them and like 5 days later 3 or 4 of them had inch long tap roots so I planted them in some organic auto feed soil with some perlite. I used a 150w day...

Hahaha coupe! That gets me worried..I'm in 1 gal bags now and I think I might just go with the 3 Gal.. you should figure out how big yours are and let us know :) When I first picked up the bag of OF I dealt with seedlings I was like this bag of soil is going to last me a whole year! Yeah right!

Sorry about the bad news bro! Did you ever think that maybe they where just hermie seeds since they there where bag seed to begin with? Might not have even been your fault man. Let us know how the samples turn out! Take care.

Wee here we go again! :peace: The light got dropped on them for 2 seconds about 3 days ago.. they recovered nicely. Next time I think I'll SCROG to keep em at the same height because right now it really varies. The two smallest are the bag seed. The ones that really stretch out without lots...
