Its tricky, but I can trim one cola at a time. I do use a carbon filter and dry at around 50 RH for about a week. Northern Lights doesnt get really stinky until after curing in glass a month or so, its not a problem. Funny, but I just checked on her and the odor started today. Nice ! Things are...

I've seen a group of what I like to call "Cackling Hyenas" here on the board. If someone is asking " Is it Harvest time yet" its not so much the answer, its the condescending and unhelpful manor that bugs me. Be nice, F, this is weed man ! We should all be cool here, not bickering like uptight...

Here is mine, a bit stunted compared to my last grows, but you can already see the hairs turning brown at start week 7 of flower after 12/12 (I have to say all that due to the multiple definitions of flower timing).... I'm planning to go 60 days (9 weeks) but we'll see. The longer the better, I...

I've looked at many harvest pics, even on the seedbanks, and a little yellowing and leaf loss late flower seems to be OK. As a new grower though, I have seen people go through the entire flower process green and healthy, maybe its the strain, late flush etc... I'm not sure and am still figuring...

Nice !! I'm noticing some yellow leaves up on the buds, your grow looks a lot like mine late flower. Maybe those yellow leaves that make it to my buds arent so bad after all or are naturally occuring late flower? Cant help you on harvest time here, you stumped me. Leaves are yellowing (a sign...

Thanks, appreciate the post. I've done a few slurry tests with RO water and the results came in neutral, around 6.8-7.0. But that was when I could get to the soil. I also did the baking soda and vineger test to see if it bubbled and there wasnt much of a reaction (showing neutral soil). In my...

Yes It may be ! But to save my life, I dont know how to check soil PH (Posted in my original thread). Its almost impossible to get to the soil now (let alone the soil in the root zone) so I dont really know. I've researched EC and PH meters, but thats a headache on its own. The best I've been...

Here goes my thread to poop humour.... Spoeaking of poop, I have a pet rabbit that uses a little box and is house trained like a cat. (Rabbits are awesome pets).. I'm thinking about using it in my next grow, its gotta be loaded with good nutrients and "stuff" the plants like?

Good stuff, I'm already getting to the point where I just listen and take notes but question everything people say. Someone else made a good point that there are many different directions and techniques to use while growing, so what is right and wrong is in definite gray area. I would like us...

Sarcasm? I really put my head on the chopping block posting this, but I'm an older guy that doesnt really care anymore. Thats the nice thing about getting older, you really dont care what people think. But I do try to play nicely though----(hint hint to the cackling hyena crew on this forum)

First day week 7 after 12/12 flip. The bottom fan leaves are roasting and you can see purple in the remaining fan leaves, those are doomed to drop soon but so far the buds are hanging in there, (although much smaller than I had hoped for).... I'm liking the manifold technique ! Plan to go...

In short, I cant really say for sure if I had aphids, but baking the soil lets me rest a bit easy just in case. I tried researching what types of pests can come in bagged soil, but there isnt much on the topic. No ants this grow, and no gnats, so it might work, who knows for sure. I'm growing...

No, they came half way through a previous grow. Apparently, ants are a big sign that you have aphids. Interesting fact, ants actually farm the aphids. They protect them and then they squeeze the honedew out to eat. Its funny the things I'm learning in this hobby, pretty cool ! Aphids however...

Well, if you've ever tried to tell the difference between a Fungus Gnat (relatively harmless) and a Root Aphid Flyer (a nightmare) you'll find out its very hard to tell the difference ! Especially when they get stuck on yellow sticky paper, its really hard to tell them apart. I had ants around...

I followed quite a few online tutorials on how to sterilize soil. Basically I bake it soaked with boiling water until it reaches 180. I use a glass cooking pan around 3-4 inches deep, heat it to 180, cool it and then use a fan to dry it out. I dont like killing anything good in the soil (good...

You noticed the "you have four years more to go to harvest" crowd too? I've been watching them and they really love to torture folks and I'm not sure their advice is right. They just seem to love to say it has a lot longer to go for some odd reason. (Note sometimes their right) but most of the...

Thanks ! This is exactly the type of information I'm looking for and I'll save this in my grow notes, especially what your saying about Nitrogen. I think I may have too much Nitrogen in the soil this grow. (maybe too much worm castings and nutes) I have not yet cooked soil, I just dont have a...
