I started off with separate pots. and planed to stay separate, but i had problems with my grow box and made a bad decision... oh well ... live and learn right! the plants are very healthy, although not to full potential.

I tried to seperate them when i was replanting into a bigger pot, but the roots were so tightly woven i thought it would kill the plants.

I Agree! i always water my plant by weight. The plant needs its root system to be on a wet dry cycle. If the bottom roots are always wet it may go in to root rot.

You Can run with mylar in a tight space if you have adequate Ventilation. I highly recommend a Air Vented light reflector for the cfl's. I built mine out of wood, cardboard, mylar, 2 cpu fans, and 4" dryer ducting.

I had big problems with mylar on my microgrow. I droped 15 degrees when i switched to white paint. If space is limited then go with paint!

yeah those are the lights i talk about. My grand scheme is to build a kind of octopus arm setup with leds at the end of each arm. and have them bendable like a pipe cleaner. that way the cfl's will light the top of the plant and the led's could light the bottom leaves and any low light areas...
