I am planning to grow in a very small space, so its important to keep everything cool, and compact. So an HPS light plus a ballast would be a little too much for me, but I'll keep HPS in mind.

Oh, thats great news! Do you think the 135w light would be enough to get a plant through veg and flowering though? Or would i need to throw in some extra CFLs?

Thanks for all the advice and stuff guys. Sorry for not updating my thread, Ive been busy and such. Unfortunately, I have bad news. I put the plant into flowering and it started to show sex. This is my first time sexing a plant, and I'm like 100% sure its a male. Here are some pictures...

Yeah, I guess the light got too close. I'm not using nutes so i don't think it would be that? Thanks DaCDaC! Hopefully I'll pick up a timer for my lights and put it into flowering soon.

Here's a few pictures of the plant as of today. I've added a second 13W bulb and I can already notice faster growth. I also tied it down yesterday, to conserve as much space as possible and get better light coverage. Tell me what you think.

Nice plants chb444220, they do look pretty similar. I'm just posting up some pictures of my box, the light is hanging from some string. Keep in mind, I cant put holes in this box so everything is tied to something outside the box. The Y splitter wont fit on the current socket im using...

So my plant is now a month old, 13W cfl since sprouting. No nutes. I've recently moved the plant into a bigger container because the roots seemed to have outgrown the previous container. I want to add more lights but I find it hard considering that I have nothing to hang the lights from...

Don't have the room for it. I only have a 2 feet of height available .

Well this is what im looking at right now. Is it doing okay? I know its bad for it to be in a clear container cause light kills the roots, but thats not really a concern at the moment.
