what i did was start mine indoors around february and put em out in mid april, and im in the northern part of the midwest mind you so an april frost isnt outta the question so you gotta be careful, but some will finish early, like june or july just cause of the way they are made up genetically...

actually for using cfl's in this type of application, with no reflector, the vertical placement offers the best light. information gathered from Jorge Cervantes' Medical Grower's Bible page 203. and from personal experience this has been the best way to use these bulbs. thanks for the advice.

this is after 20 days from seed for the big ones and 10 days for the small....4 125w 6400k cfl's in 2ltr pop bottles ocean forest soil. using ionic, green fuse, nitrozyme, fossil fuel, superthrive, sweet citrus and spray n grow micronurtuent solution strain is trainwrek i think....
