I heard of poeple putting plants out to flower outdoor then chop it than somehow it grows bigger and later down the line they chop again

I'm not an outdoor medicinal grower but I do have a backyard veggie garden. I have found that if I start some tomatos inside early, then transplant at about the same time I plant outside I get two "waves" of harvest. Here in Central Cali it SHOULD be fairly easy outdoors.

what i did was start mine indoors around february and put em out in mid april, and im in the northern part of the midwest mind you so an april frost isnt outta the question so you gotta be careful, but some will finish early, like june or july just cause of the way they are made up genetically, and you can take these all the way down to a stub that is like 4 inches. the plant will grow back from that stub and will be finished up by the time the longer plants are done. these longer flowering plants usually are dependent on the fall solstice and the reduction of light hours and you dont get 2 harvests off them but they yeild 2 to 20 times more than the other ones....its a nice way to get the most outta the plant that finishes early but i have noticed that the second time around with the early ones dont get as potent....but well worth it......

Cooming from cali, can i put a plant in mid january? And hope 2-3 harvest?
If you start indoors and then put hotcaps over them, I don't see why not. Threat of frost until Late Feb here. A simple gunny sack or old blanket with a single light underneath is enough to stop frost. Come to think of it, You could plant in Dec if using frost protection and you should start flower right away because of the photoperiod.

if you use autoflower plants and stagger the planting you can get multiple harvests during a single growing season.

True with autoflower, but do you really want a ruderalis plant that will give you a headache? Mass production flips yes ok. personal grow no. not ok. Get 3,4 harvest of 2-3 even 4oz's with auto. over 9 months or one really solid 1lb to 10lb plants over 7 months max. Do the math and dont waste your time by skipping pages.

There are 2 solstice a year and 2 equinox a year (winter and summer). In March of each year we have an equinox and then the days start getting longer and the nights shorter. Cannabis plants grow vegetatively. But in June, we have a solstice and then the days start getting shorter and the nights longer. Once the night period gets to be around 12 hours or longer, cannabis plants begin to flower because they need to finish reproducing before winter comes.

And the story ends until the next March for most places because winter comes and it is too cold for most plants to grow. But if you are in a semi-tropical area, like south Florida for example, it stays warm enough that plants could be grown year round...

And it happens that there is another equinox in September and another solstice in December. The plants don't know the difference between the summer and winter solstice/equinox. So with flowering plants like cannabis you can grow them just like in the summer if it's warm enough where you live. They'll vegetatively grow and then flower according to the length of night/day either way.
