yup, I belive so, use a small conjuction box and hard wire the fans. Not sure just what going on with your wiring. Luckly for me mine are DC powered. That looks like it could be noisey after about 40 hrs. all that loose metal being tied together by rivits or screws. Just thinking out loud.
